What To Expect

What To Expect

I am confident this is a question many of you ponder before scheduling an appointment.  Due to the COVID pandemic, I have  made the decision to conduct teletherapy sessions only to keep everyone safe. This has been a big adjustment for not only my clients but also myself. I believe change is always challenging and there is an adjustment period at first. However, I am pleasantly pleased how well everyone has been able to handle this transition and be flexible given life's changes.

I believe in the importance of establishing a  warm and friendly rapport with my clients in helping make you feel comfortable. That is why I believe in taking the time to go over any of your concerns and/or worries. First, I will ask you to fill out forms before getting started.  I am  more than happy to go over this paperwork with you if needed. Once the forms are complete, I will schedule your first intake session with you via teletherapy. In addition, I will communicate with you to schedule following therapy sessions.

Upon your first teletherapy session, I will try my best to understand what brought you in and followup with questions you share in order to make sure I completely understand your history, background, concerns, worries, etc. These questions allow me to come up with treatment goals for us to work on together for following sessions. It is also important I get your feedback on treatment goals you would like to work on in your treatment. This gives me a good foundation of followup therapy session goals. Open and honest communication is always and important goal in this process. Just remember,  I am here to meet your needs and provide you with the best care possible.
